This is how a standard mafia money earning crime works.
Hard arm banks and loan companies into giving you mega loans and mortgages - take the cash money off shore, never make a payment on the loans and mortgages, get a chapter 7 bankruptcy - walk from it all and repeat in 4-5 years.
At the same time have multiple Incorporated business go under like Pizza shops, dress shops, restaurants, etc.; always keeping all loan monies.
Properties you don't want in anything is bought for cash in an alias foreign buyers names.

do you think they keep postponing the trial so the statue of limitations runs out on some of these charges?

No because they have been charged so there is no longer a statue of limitations. That was to file charges. It is now an ongoing case.

They've had this scam going for awhile. I wouldn't doubt there are quite a few others doing the same thing. smh

Hahaha of course there are others doing it. It has been an ongoing scam in North Jersey for years.
What is different is now the IRS and the Bankruptcy Court can link up on computers and it is very fast and easy for them to verify Federal documents for each other.
In the past the paper copies given were accepted as authentic. Now they can scan them and email them to the IRS for verification and it all can be done fast.
When you file your tax returns they are filed by Social Security Number. To efile them they have to pass a preliminary screening with the spelling of the name, the Social Security number and the date of birth all being identical. If one is off the return is rejected. If a return has been filed already for the social security number it is rejected.
So the first verification done by the IRS would be to run a copy of the return for the social security number. If one was not filed there would be no copy of a return. Easy.
Easy now. But ten years ago the system wasn't that stream lined.
The key to catching the scam is contacting the IRS. I have a gut feeling the "scammers" in the past managed to have this step blocked.

A "dummy" could not carry through with a scam like that.

I give up on the forum and board.
TERESA IS NOT A DUMMY.
I have decided there is no getting through to the women on here. They want Teresa to be the character she is acting.
Instead of listening to what I am saying they are off in lala land seeing Teresa as a dumb woman.
THEY ARE HELPING TERESA GET AWAY WITH HER ILLEGAL SCAMS BY PUTTING IT OUT THERE SHE IS NOT INTELLIGENT ENOUGH TO BE DOING THEM.
My advise is, go look in the mirror to see the dummy - you have been scammed.

not all women on here are dumb. Nobody on here has been scammed, we all know what's going on.

I didn't say she was a dummy. You are not reading what I'm saying, I am agreeing with you.

Sorry, didn't sound like you were agree when you comment a dummy couldn't pull off the scam. Sounded like you were saying others orchestrated the scam and used her. And that is not it. She is the orchestrator. That is why she was picked to marry Joe. She is the brains behind him in everything.

LOL I meant it sarcastically. As in, she is no dummy.

By Joe B. Brown, Brian Netoles, Sandra Taliani Rasnak, and Maureen Tighe
" The bankruptcy system is designed to give an individual or a company a chance to reorganize their affairs, or if reorganization is not possible, to equitably distribute the non-exempt assets of the debtor among the creditors. This is often referred to as “a fresh start”. The amount of money a creditor will receive in a case will range from nothing in many cases to 100 percent in a few cases. In every case there will be significant delays from the time a bankruptcy petition is filed until the case is closed and all creditors receive final payment. The bankruptcy system is based on the theory that a debtor will make full disclosure of all assets and liabilities so that the final disposition is in accordance with the requirements of the law. Unfortunately, at times both debtors and creditors try to obtain more than they are entitled to under the Bankruptcy Code. There are a number of criminal statutes that prohibit this type conduct. Although concealing assets or making false statements in a bankruptcy proceeding make up the majority of bankruptcy frauds, there are a number of fraud schemes that are more complicated or are primarily designed for reasons other than maximizing the retention of assets in bankruptcy. Such schemes often use the automatic stay provided by the Bankruptcy Code to conceal an earlier crime, maximize profit from an ongoing fraud scheme or buy time while the perpetrator finds a way to avoid victims or leave town. ..." www.crfonline.org/orc/pdf/ref11.pdf

From what Joe said at the reunion he won't let Melissa & Joe take the kids because of the way they talk about Teresa. LMAO They've said nothing but the truth. Anyways, Joe went on to say that his brother and wife would take the kids. I don't know anything of his brother other than his bro has a lying fraud as a bro, lol but I think Melissa & Joe could raise those girls better than Teresa. Although I wouldn't wish that nightmare on her and little Joe. Undoing all the bad those girls have been taught will be quite the job. smh

Wouldn't it be something if he goes to jail before the holidays? I bet that would be a slap right to Teresa & Joe's faces. At least Teresa would have one last holiday season before she gets (hopefully) put away for a long time. I don't think Joe should get just probation for DL fraud, but who knows? The courts do some ass backward decisions sometimes and the loop holes the defense lawyers find are ridiculous.
